Write for us
Clever Sports Review welcomes pitches that make a sporting detail easier to see: a rule with an unexpected effect, a tactical idea explained plainly, or a thoughtful comparison of formats or equipment.
What we welcome
Propose original, reader-focused stories about rules, tactics, formats, equipment or watching sport. Strong pieces have a precise question, a clear explanation and a distinct angle; they do not rely on assumed expertise, hype or unsupported claims.
Make the pitch specific
Tell us the working title, the central idea, why it suits Clever Sports Review and how you would explain it to a curious reader. Mention relevant experience only if it directly helps us assess the proposal. Please send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option.
Before sending
Please pitch the idea rather than submitting a finished article unless we have requested one. We cannot promise publication or a particular response time, and an accepted pitch may need editing for clarity, accuracy and fit.
Sport rewards a closer look
A rule can change a decision; a small movement can open a whole game. We explain the details without assuming you already know the jargon.
